MolMed has two investigational anticancer therapies in clinical trials: TK and NGR-hTNF. TK is investigated in an ongoing Phase III trial for high-risk leukaemia adult patients receiving bone marrow transplant from partially compatible donors (haplo-transplant). [For more details on completed Phase II trial: Protocol of Phase I/II trial TK007] NGR-hTNF is investigated for seven different types of solid tumours in the following clinical trials: - Phase III for malignant pleural mesothelioma, monotherapy or combination - ongoing - randomised Phase II for non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC), combination with cisplatin-based regimens - ongoing - randomised Phase II for soft tissue sarcomas, monotherapy or combination with doxorubicin - ongoing - randomised Phase II for mesothelioma, monotherapy as first-line maintenance treatment - ongoing - randomised Phase II for ovarian carcinoma, combination with pegylated liposomal doxorubicin - ongoing - Phase II for ovarian carcinoma, combination with doxorubicin - completed - Phase II for small-cell lung carcinoma (SCLC), combination with doxorubicin - completed - Phase II for colorectal carcinoma, monotherapy - completed - Phase II for colorectal carcinoma, combination with Xelox - completed - Phase II for hepatocellular carcinoma, monotherapy - completed
For each type of tumour, there are different therapeutic options: these are evaluated and chosen by physicians according to several patient-specific and tumour-specific parameters. Both TK and NGR-hTNF are new investigational therapies, thus not yet available on the market. As such, they are administered to patients recruited in a clinical trial, which is run in one or more authorised clinical centres where patient recruitment is evaluated according to specific criteria. Under no circumstances is MolMed involved in the selection of patients to be recruited, nor is the Company entitled to indicate preferred therapeutic options as an alternative to the physician’s choice.
